Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to the National Audit Office’s Report on the Asylum and Protection Transformation Regime, published in June 2023, if she will take steps to implement the NAO’s recommendation on making asylum decisions.

The NAO report into the Asylum & Protection Transformation Programme acknowledges the progress made across asylum caseworking and accommodation. The report suggested three recommendations for the programme to increase its chances of success, we are carefully considering all recommendations.
