To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, pursuant to the Answer of 4 June 2015 to Question 904, what milestones her Department has set for the roll-out of smart meters.

DECC has put an obligation on energy suppliers to take all reasonable steps to roll out smart electricity and gas meters to all residential and smaller non-domestic consumers by the end of 2020. Ofgem is requiring large suppliers to submit rollout plans from 2016 that will become binding and enforceable annual milestones.
