Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the Ministry of Defence annual report and accounts 2025 to 2026, Losses, what was the full scope of the Impairments arising from the historic AWE/AUC review.

The impairments recognised following the review of Assets Under Construction at AWE relate to infrastructure and equipment projects delivered in support of AWE recapitalisation and the sustainment of an enduring nuclear deterrent capability.
