Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether he has had discussions with Cabinet colleagues on the potential merits of including a ban on UK businesses selling conversion practices abroad in legislation on conversion practices.

The UK Government is proud to champion LGBT+ rights around the world. The Government will be publishing a draft Bill setting out our approach to banning conversation practices. The Government will publish draft legislation which will go through pre-legislative scrutiny by a joint committee in this parliamentary session. We are committed to protecting those at risk of these abhorrent practices.
