Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, With reference to page 13 of Progress in reducing emissions 2023 Report to Parliament by the Climate Change Committee, published in June 2023, what assessment he has made of the implications for his policies of the finding that the UK has been slow to react to the US Inflation Reduction Act and the EU’s proposed Green Deal Industrial Plan.

The Government will publish a full response to the recent Climate Change Committee Progress Report this coming Autumn, as per statutory requirements.
