Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, with reference to the report entitled Progress in reducing emissions, published by the Climate Change Committee in June 2023, what assessment he has made of the implications for his policies of the findings in that report on the potential impact of the time expected to be taken to make a decision on the use of hydrogen for home heating on (a) the growth of supply chains for low carbon heat and (b) progress on developing infrastructure for (i) power and (ii) hydrogen.

The Government will publish a full response to the recent Climate Change Committee Progress Report this coming Autumn, as per statutory requirements.
