Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what recent steps she has taken to increase recycling rates.
The Government’s Resources and Waste Strategy for England, published in December 2018, set out our plans to preserve material resources by minimising waste, promoting resource efficiency and moving towards a circular economy. The strategy announced the three Collection and Packaging Reforms: Extended Producer Responsibility for packaging (pEPR); Deposit Return Scheme (DRS); and consistency in household and business recycling in England.
