Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether he is taking steps to ensure that staff in his Department who are under investigation for alleged misconduct are not named before those allegations are proven.

The FCDO's disciplinary policy makes clear that disciplinary matters are strictly confidential and identities of those involved are known only to those with a need to know in order to manage the case. The policy also makes clear that any breach of confidentiality would in itself be a disciplinary matter.
