Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether she is taking steps to ensure that staff in her Department who are under investigation for alleged misconduct are not named before those allegations are proven.

The Department’s discipline policy makes it clear that the disciplinary process is strictly confidential at all stages. It is our long-standing practice not to identify employees who are subject to disciplinary investigation, either within the Home Office or externally.
