Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent guidance his Department has issued to GPs on prescribing antibiotics.

The Department does not publish clinical guidance. Multiple resources providing guidance on antimicrobial stewardship in primary care have been published by partners across the health system over the life of the current United Kingdom antimicrobial resistance strategy.
