Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what discussions he has held with his counterpart in Greece on the wildfires in Rhodes.

When the wildfires first broke out, the Foreign Secretary sent his condolences to Foreign Minister Gerapetritis and thanked the Greek Government for their support to British nationals in Rhodes. The Defence Secretary also discussed the wildfires during Greek Defence Minister Dendias' visit to London. In parallel, His Majesty's Ambassador to Greece held frequent high-level engagement with Greek Ministers, senior officials, and local authorities on wildfire risks across Greece.
