Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will commit to removing the proposals to ban the production of petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030.
The Government remains committed to ending the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2030, with all new cars and vans being fully zero emission by 2035. The UK’s position at the forefront of the global transition to zero emission vehicles ensures private sector investment into EV infrastructure and ChargeUK have projected £6 billion of new private investment in charging infrastructure by 2030.
