The Home Office does not hold information on the number of forensic accountants employed in police forces in England and Wales.

The Home Office collects and publishes data annually on the number of police officers and staff employed in England and Wales by function in the ‘Police workforce, England and Wales’ statistical bulletin, which can be accessed here: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/police-workforce-england-and-wales.

These functions are based on the framework set out by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) as part of the Police Objective Analysis (POA) estimates. The POA framework does not include a specific function for forensic accountants.
