Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what discussions has she had with the Secretary of State for Levelling Up Housing and Communities on using levelling-up funding to improve local infrastructure in low-income areas.

The Government’s Levelling Up programme has an ambitious agenda to transform the UK. It will address regional disparities across the UK, put more money in the pockets of those who need it most, and transform the UK economy by generating higher paid jobs and new investment.

To facilitate cross Government working on the Levelling Up agenda, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities leads a regular group including Ministers from all Departments. The group provides support, challenge, and accountability to drive progress on the Levelling Up missions and other priorities.
