Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what discussions she has had with Cabinet colleagues on speeding up the process of getting planning applications approved for solar farms.

Ministers regularly discuss planning reform with colleagues to enable a fair and efficient system of decision making for all energy infrastructure proposals, including solar. The Government is currently consulting on operational reforms to the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects regime and will publish its response in due course.
