Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what data their Department holds on the average response time to written parliamentary questions in the last six months; and what assessment they have made of the adequacy of that response time.

The Department for Transport places a high importance in providing Members of Parliament with responses to their written parliamentary questions within the timeframes set by Parliament.
From the start of the current Parliamentary Session to the 2023 Summer Recess, the Department received 4,408 written parliamentary questions and answered 99.9%, or 4,403, of them on time.
