Question to the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology:

To ask the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, what information their Department holds on the level of staff retention; and what steps they are taking to improve staff retention.

As a newly formed Department, we are developing employee reports. Employee data on joiners and leavers exist, other measures including length of service will be developed in time.

For the financial year 2023/24, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology has had c.100 joiners and c.30 leavers (payroll staff only).
