Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to ensure that patients in NHS hospitals can access (a) free and (b) adequate wi-fi connectivity.
This question was answered on 11th September 2023
Through the NHS Wi-Fi programme, free Wi-Fi has been provided to over 8,000 centres of patient care, including hospitals.
National Health Service trusts are responsible for ensuring adequate Wi-Fi connectivity across their estate.
