Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many disabled people or people with long term health conditions were eligible for the In-Work Progression Offer as of 31 August 2023.

The Department does not hold this information. The Department only gathers information on claimants who declare a disability or health condition. UC Claimants who have attended a Work Capability Assessment and have been found to have Limited Capability for Work, or Limited Capability for Work Related Activity, do not qualify for the In Work Progression Offer.

UC Claimants in the Light Touch or Working Enough regimes are eligible for the In Work Progression offer on a voluntary basis. UC Claimants in these regimes who have a disability or long-term health condition are encouraged to notify the department as soon as possible.
