Question to the Department for Business and Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, what the average response time to subject access requests was by their Department in the latest period for which data is available; and if they will make an assessment of the adequacy of that response time.

The Department for Business & Trade has processed six valid subject access requests so far in this financial year. All six requests have been responded to promptly and within the statutory response time of one calendar month. The average response time is 27 days.

The department continually monitors and looks for way to improve its performance in managing subject access requests.
