Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what (a) rules, (b) agreements and (c) guidance her Department uses to decide what information to share with the Climate Change Committee.

The Department’s approach to sharing information with the CCC is underpinned by the Arm’s Length Body Sponsorship Code of Good Practice on GOV.UK.

The Climate Change Committee's Framework Document sets out more information about the working practices between the CCC and the Department. This includes a Memorandum of Understanding on economic modelling and sharing of analysis and research; and a regular working group. The Department is drafting an updated version of this document.
