Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will issue new guidance on reducing sickness levels among vulnerable groups during high temperatures.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) published guidance on 10 May 2023 on supporting vulnerable people from adverse effects of hot weather. This is part of UKHSA’s Adverse Weather and Health Plan which aims to protect individuals and communities from the health effects of adverse weather and to build community resilience. This will be regularly updated.
