Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, pursuant to the Written Ministerial Statement of 19 March 2026 (HCWS1425), what explains the increase in Human Development spending from £433 million in 2026-27 to £1,241 million in 2028-29.

This increase is largely attributable to the profile of multilateral payments to the Global Fund and Gavi. For further details, I refer the Hon Member to Table 2 and Footnote 6 of the document accompanying the statement mentioned in her question.
