Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how much funding his Department has allocated to schemes to increase cervical screening attendance in each of the last eight years.
Information on how much of the money allocated from the cervical screening budget to schemes to increase cervical screening attendance is not collected centrally by NHS England.
NHS England has invested over £200 million since 2016 to transform cancer services across England.
Next year, Public Health England will launch a national campaign to highlight the risks of cervical cancer, encourage all women to respond to their screening invitation and to encourage women to consider booking an appointment if they have missed previous invitations.
