UK officials maintain a regular dialogue with their Kuwaiti counterparts concerning judicial and law-enforcement matters relating to cases with a UK connection. We do not comment on the detail of confidential exchanges or on individual cases where legal proceedings are ongoing. Any request for UK assistance is considered by the appropriate authorities in accordance with UK law, due process and the independence of the judiciary.
