Accession to the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism requires the Government of Iran to pass key pieces of legislation. Some of that legislation – including the Combatting Financing of Terrorism bill – is currently passing through Iran’s legislative system. We are supporting Iran’s efforts to pass the necessary legislation. This was most recently raised during the Foreign Secretary’s visit on 19 November.
