Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what the estimated cost to the public purse is of creating the (a) Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, (b) People and Culture and (c) People and Communities departments in the NHS.

NHS England, Health Education England and NHS Digital have legally merged into the new NHS England. NHS England is still in the process of completing the merger but is on track to achieve approximately a reduction of over 8,500 Working Time Equivalents (35%). As the Change Programme is not yet complete, costs of individual teams are not yet available.
