Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what provision is made for the use of non-NHS facilities for MRI scans where the patient's weight precludes the use of an NHS-standard scanner.

Arrangements for deciding the most appropriate way for individual patients to access NHS services based on their clinical needs is for local determination.
