Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether his Department has made an estimate of the potential impact of (a) changes in estimated construction delivery dates and (b) inflation on the cost of delivering HS2.

The government will continue to provide updated delivery and financial assessments of HS2 at key decision points for the programme, as has been done to date. Updated analysis will consider any impacts caused by inflationary and cost pressures.
