Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, with reference to the answer of 4 June 2026 to Question HL323 on Business Rates, whether the figures for 2027-28 onwards include the effect of transitional relief being wound down.

The figures for 2027-28 onwards in the answer to question UIN HL323 published on 4 June 2026 include the effect of transitional relief associated with the 2026 revaluation reducing over time and ending by 2028-29.

As is usual, any transitional relief support aligned to the 2029 revaluation will be considered and announced once the effects of the 2029 revaluation are known.
