Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what assessment he has made of the implications for his policies of levels of support for an independence referendum in the Western Cape.

The UK supports the territorial integrity of the Republic of South Africa. Our policy towards South Africa is focussed on building on our strong partnership. We will continue to engage with South Africa across the breadth of our bilateral priorities.
