Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, with reference to the Answer of 1 May 2014, Official Report, columns 813-4W, on social security benefits, what estimate his Department has made of the cost of the community work placement and mandatory intervention regime schemes.

The costs of Help to Work, which includes community work placement and the mandatory intervention regime, is:

2014-15

2015-16.

£190 million

£230 million
