Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many women in each strategic authority area in England and Wales who had had (a) one, (b) two, (c) three, (d) four, (e) five, (f) six, (g) seven, (h) eight, (i) nine and (j) 10 or more previous abortions had a further abortion in 2013.

The use of strategic health authorities was abolished in April 2013. Information is presented by local authority region.

The number of abortions for women who have had eight or more previous abortions have been grouped to protect patient confidentiality.
