Question to the Northern Ireland Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, whether her Department has discussed the consideration of any specific parade application with any member of the Parades Commission since January 2014.

Neither I nor my officials have had any discussions about specific parade notifications with any member of the Parades Commission since the period referred to in the question.

Consideration of parades notifications is an operational matter for the Parades Commission, acting independently of the Government, in exercise of their powers under the Public Processions (NI) Act 1998. I play no role in that process.
