Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, what recent assessment he has made of the potential impact of trends in the number of car parks using pay and display machines on people who have difficulties using digital technology.

The Secretary of State wrote to all local authorities in England in April 2023 setting out expectations that parking services, for which councils are responsible, should remain accessible to older people or those with vulnerabilities.
