Meriam Ibrahim and her family were released on police bail on 26 June following their detention at Khartoum International airport on 24 June. We understand that she and her family are currently staying at the US Embassy.

We will remain closely engaged in this case and continue to call on the Government of Sudan to abide by its international obligations to uphold an individual's right to freedom of religion or belief.
