Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what his Department is doing to improve access to sexual health services.

Local authorities are mandated to commission comprehensive, open access sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment services, and contraception advice and provision that meet the needs of their local population. The Government's ambitions for sexual health are set out in A Framework for Sexual Health Improvement in England (March 2013); a copy of which has already been placed in the Library.
