Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, whether he has made an assessment of the potential merits of commissioning an update to the Cabinet Manual in the context of the repeal of the Fixed Term Parliament Act.

In February 2022, the Government confirmed that it intends to publish an updated version of the Cabinet Manual before the end of this Parliament. This will reflect developments since the publication of the previous version in 2011, including the repeal of the Fixed-term Parliaments Act.
