Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how much police forces spent on policing cycling tours in (a) 2021 and (b) 2022.

The Home Office does not hold this information. It is an operational decision for police forces to determine how to use resources to manage events in their areas.
Some policing costs may be chargeable to event organisers under Section 25 of the Police Act 1996 (Special Policing Services), but police maintain a statutory duty to ensure public safety.
