Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many elective procedures were cancelled in each of the last 12 months.

The Department does not hold data on the number of elective procedures cancelled monthly for the last year, however NHS England publish the amount of cancelled elective operations per quarter. The number of last-minute elective operations cancelled for non-clinical reasons were 21,273 in Q3 2022/23, 18,975 in Q4 2022/23, and most recently 17,024 in Q1 2023/24.
