Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what estimate his Department has made of the cost to the public purse of closing phases 2a and 2b of HS2 in financial years (a) 2023-24, (b) 2024-25, (c) 2025-26 and (d) 2026-27.

The Department is working with HS2 Ltd and its supply chain to assess the cost implications as a result of the cancellation of HS2 Phases 2a and 2b.
