Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what advice his Department is providing to patients who will require repeat prescriptions after 29 March 2019.
On 21 December the Department published operational readiness guidance for the health and care system. The guidance makes it clear that the Government is working with industry to ensure a continued supply of medicines from the moment the United Kingdom leaves the European Union and therefore, community pharmacies and the National Health Service should not stockpile additional medicines and patients should not store additional medicines at home. Patients should continue to request their repeat prescriptions in the usual way.
