Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, in which countries her Department is investigating the Test of English for International Communication language test certificates from Educational Testing Service and the individuals who have provided them as part of the evidence in their visa applications.
The American arm of the Educational Testing Service (ETS) has so far identified
more than 29,000 invalid results and more than 19,000 questionable English
language test results from a number of ETS test centres operating in the UK in 2012 and
2013. Investigations are focused on ETS test centres in the UK, where there is
clear evidence of fraudulent activity ETS have also examined results from some
of their overseas test centres, but they have so far not found widespread abuse in
those locations.
