Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what services non-payroll staff provide to (a) the Treasury and (b) HMRC.

Both departments use contingent labour to quickly deploy specialist expertise, drive change and deliver increased efficiency to cover periods of increased levels of workforce demand. These individuals provide skills including (but not limited to) legal, administration, commercial, facilities management, finance and digital services.
