Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether people who urgently need to travel within seven days are charged for upgrading their passport application.

The Home Secretary announced to the House on 12 June 2014 that people who need
to travel within the next seven days and who have waited more than the three
weeks standard processing time for straight-forward passport renewals through
no fault of their own, will have their application fast tracked at no extra cost.
