Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, how much his Department has spent on (a) media training and (b) social media training for (i) him and (ii) other Ministers in his Department; and what specific training was provided in each such case.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer given by my hon. Friend the Member for North West Norfolk (Mr Bellingham), on 16 July 2012, Official Report, column 569W.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, my hon. Friend the Member for Boston and Skegness (Mr Simmonds), attended media training in July 2013. The cost was £1,150.

Since then we have not provided any training on media or social media for any Ministers in the Department.
