Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether the proposed 16 and 17 year old railcard will be valid on services provided by open access operators.
This question was answered on 14th January 2019
The 16-17 railcard will offer savings of 50 per cent on all rail journeys run by franchised train operating companies managed by the Department for Transport. We will announce further details in the summer.
