Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what estimate he has made of the number of universal claimants who will be self-employed once universal credit is fully rolled out.

It is estimated that there will be approximately 600,000 households with at least one individual whose main employment is self-employment entitled to Universal Credit when it is fully rolled out.
