Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether the Chinese Government has provided the necessary approvals and consents for the redevelopment of the British Embassy in China.

We have submitted our planning application for the new embassy and as with any project, this would be subject to due consideration by Chinese authorities.
