Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, further to paragraph 15 of the Model Contract for special advisers, what are the mandatory training requirements for (a) Downing Street and (b) Cabinet Office special advisers.

All staff within the Cabinet Office, including special advisers, are required to complete core mandatory training annually.

The mandatory courses cover essential operational standards across the Civil Service, comprising:

• Security and Data Protection

• Civil Service Expectations

• Counter Fraud, Bribery and Corruption

• Health & Safety
